(landscape 4:3)The Sacred Origin of Vaitheeswaran Koil Nadi Jodhidam
Nadi Jodhidam is an ancient system of prediction that originated in Tamil Nadu. According to tradition, great sages such as Agastya, Bhrigu, Atri and Suka Maharishi recorded the past, present and future of individuals on palm leaves known as Olaichuvadi.
The leaves were rediscovered around the 12th century in and around Vaitheeswaran Koil and later preserved at the Saraswati Mahal Library in Thanjavur. When many manuscripts were lost during British rule, hereditary Nadi astrologer families protected them and passed the reading techniques down through generations.
Each leaf is identified by the seeker's thumb impression, which is why every reading is unique and personal. Our family has served this tradition without alteration for six generations.
